Instead of Besiktas, Dynamo Kiev put a foot in the last 16 of the Europa League as they claimed a comfortable 4-1 win in the first leg match.
Andriy Shevchenko setup and goal and then scored one in his 84-minutes appearance as Dynamo Kiev used a powerful second half to beat Besiktas 4-1 in Europa League action on Thursday.
Shevchenko, the former AC Milan and Chelsea forward, assisted Ognjen Vukojevic to score the go ahead goal for Dynamo Kiev in the 27th minute, before getting on the score sheet himself five minutes into the second half.
Besiktas winger Ricardo Quaresma got the lone striker for the hosts when netted the equalising goal in the 37th minute.
Meanwhile, besides Vukojevic and Shevchenko – Dynamo Kiev also got goals from Ayila Yussuf in the 56th minute and a late penalty from Oleg Gusev.
To make matters worse for Besiktas, Quaresma was sent off on the final whistle for violent conduct.
