BURSASPOR CHAMPIONS OF TURKEY

First time of their history Bursaspor won the Turkey's top league Turkcell Super League TITLE in the 2009-2010 season,


As I predicted about five weeks ago,the race went down to the wire....

Everything was suppose to go Fenerbahce's way....


Because, the=y were on top of Bursaspor going into last match of the season...

Fenerbahce scored the goal first against Trabzonspor while Bursaspor was still scoreless against Besiktas in Bursa....

Fenerbahce scored and their fans started a little bit early....

Than,The team who knock Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup Finals, Trabzonspor shocked the Fenerbahce fans with a goal....

On the other hand Bursaspor was a head of Besiktas. with two goals...

As the time approached the last minute of the match , Besiktas scored goal and made it 2-1.

That gave a little hope for Fenerbahce fans in the Sukru Saracoglu stadium...

But, Fenerbahce players just could not get the second goal.....

Guzia and Alex missed very god chances for Fenerbahce...

SCANDAL IN THE KADIKOY FENERBAHCE STADIUM....

While the match was in the last minute of the match, The stadium announcer made a absurd announcement saying Bursaspor Besiktas match score was 2-2 draw....

Fenerbahce fans started to celebrate while there was still minute left in the match.and started to ran on the field while Bursaspor match was over...

In Bursa, The match finished and they were waiting eagerly the good news from Fenerbahce stadium.

What is so bad,is the broadcaster, LIG TV play by play announcers fell for this trap and gave a wrong information to the viewers..............

Soon after the fabs started to run on to pitch , the game was over....

And, the celebration in Kadikoy, turn in to sour grape, while the real champions of Turkey, Bursaspor and fans started the celabration will take place 40 days and 40 nights...

This was the second time other than big three Istanbul Teams won the league's title..

Trabzonspor was the first Anatolian team won the leagues title out side of Istanbul teams...

That Trabzonspor, who is coached by former Turkish National team coach Senol Gunes,stoped Fenerbahce in the league, after beating them in the Turkish Cup...

Trabzonspor also helped Bursaspor by at least holding Fenerbahce to 1-1 score in the last latch.....


Lastly, I am sure a lot of the soccer fans, outside of Turkey , probably asking, where this Bursa, came from all of sudden?

Well, first, they have made a good choice buy hiring young Turkish coach, who knows the Turkish football players....

Second, fans ,coach and the team, was on the same page.......

Ertugrul Saglam, was big factor in this Championship ....

Kudos to Ertugrul Saglam and Bursaspor...

Well deserved run....you guys deserve it..

Now, it is time to think big, for Champions League!

Don't be like Sivaspor!

Turkish National Team squad for the U.S. camp and the program was announced

Turkey's 33-man squad and programme for the upcoming USA tour has been announced today.

Fenerbahçe players Gökhan Gönül and Özer Hurmacı have been excluded from the squad as both players will undergo a shoulder surgery at the end of current season. Paris Saint-Germain forward Mevlüt Erdinç was not included in this squad as he is expected to have a wrist operation on 18 May. Galatasaray left-back Hakan Balta was also left out because of a persistent groin injury.
Meanwhile, Bayern München midfielder Hamit Altıntop will join his team-mates in United States on 23 May after taking part in his side's UEFA Champions League final match against FC Internazionale Milano one day before.

Elsewhere, Real Betis' holding midfielder Mehmet Aurelio will be missing the USA tour as the season will still be active in the Spanish Second Division.

Turkey will play three friendly matches in the United States. The programme is as follows:

22 May 2010 12.30 Turkey - Czech Republic Red Bull Arena, Harrison, NJ
26 May 2010 13.30 Turkey - Northern Ireland Veterans Stadium, New Britain, CT

29 May 2010 14.00 USA - Turkey Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA

Turkey squad will gather on 18 May starting from 19.30 at Swissotel in İstanbul. They will fly from İstanbul to New York on 19 May at 10.00 and land at 13.30 with local time. Then the squad will travel to New Jersey at 14.30 by bus and arrive at W Hoboken Hotel where they will make their camp.

On 20 May, coaching staff and certain players will participate in the special reception which is organised by Turkey's New York Consulate General. Turkey squad will pass to Manhattan by ferry on 23 May Sunday to take part in the Turkish Day activities that will begin at 13.00. Having enjoyed the activities, they'll make a boat trip with the participation of media representatives.

Turkey will travel to Connecticut from New Jersey on 25 May at 10.00 by bus and will make their camp at Connecticut Crown Plaza Hotel in Hartford. After playing Northern Ireland friendly, the following day at 18.30 they will fly from Connecticut to Philadelphia where they will accomodate in Hyatt Regency Philadelphia.

The squad will pass to New York on 29 May with 17.30 flight and return to Turkey on 31 May with a charter on 14.00.

FRANK RIJKAARD UNDER FIRE BY TURKISH PRESS!

This is not happening first time in Turkey......

Before Frank Rijkaard, there has been few well known coaches in the world , got the same treatment as Frank Rijkaard is getting now....

Names like....Parrera... Skibbe ...Gerets............


Galatasaray coach Frank Rijkaard has been on the hot seat lately by the some of the absurd Turkish sports media...

Galatasaray's disappointment run this year has anger a lot of people from turkish media and Galatasaray fans too....

This weekend's loss at home against Antalyaspor in the last seconds of the match was the driller for Rijkaard.


Back to back losses and draws made a lot of Galatasaray fans furious......

Galatasaray coach Frank Rijkaard even said it was worst match they played...

While He was talking to LIG TV reporter, he said exactly this...."It was a bad day for us, and these kinds of defeats make us feel bad. It’s got nothing to do with concentration or mentality, but with quality. When you’re one goal up, you have to keep control of the ball.” he added.

That "QUALITY' word has been the main attraction. from Turkish media..

They accused Rijkaard with not backing his own players ..They accused him with not focusing on his team and more....

What Turkish media forgot is, what he said after that "quality" word....

"When you’re one goal up, you have to keep control of the ball."

He was talking about quality control....ball possession......

if you can't do that , you will lose the match....

He was upset and disgusted, after that last minute loss..

Now,the Turkish media even talking about sacking Rijkaard and bring in Fatih Terim, back!


Frank Rijkaard has been under very heavy fire, because he is not playing Turkish National team stoper Servet Cetin on the team too!


WE all know, how Frank Rijkaard was greated at the Istanbul airport when he arrived with a mob of fans cheering him ....

Until that moment ,besides one or two Turkish journalist, none of those guys and gals who are destroying Frank Rijkaard, with their absurd pens and words ,would probably never saw Rijkaard until,he came to Turkey

Maybe, on Televison....,,,,,,,,,,,

Just in this month's UEFA' "Champions" magazine, Frank Rijkaard was quted as saying, "Football here is emotional and that can make long-term planing very difficult,you can't tell people be patient"

Isn't that the truth though.............

That is why, consistency and long-term planing, will never happened with Turkish football and Turkish soccer teams....

I think another world famous foootball coach will leave Turkey , just like the other ones!

Trabzonspor wins the Turkish Cup

Fenerbahce this season was eager to get both of the cups , but coach Christoph Daum has only one price deal: the championship. They loss the Turkish Cup to Trabzon on Wednesday in Sanliurfa,Turkey,3-1.


In the first half Trabzonspor looked good and had more chances.

But, Fenerbahce Keeper Volkan Demirel, made some key saves, in the first half.

Trabzonspor's Umut Bulut and Burak waisted a lot of chances on top too....

The first half ended scoreless.....


After 0-0, first half, Fenerbahce's Alex De Souza scored in the 55th minute.

However,Trabzonspor striker Umut Bulut after missing few in the first half of the match, equalized the score in the 66th minute, midfielder Engin Baytar made it 2-1.

In the 80th minute and Gustavo Alejandro Colman scored in the third minute of stoppage time to give Trabzonspor 3-1 victory.

Trabzonspor lifted the Turkish cup in the 2003-04....

On the other hand, Fenerbahce ,who has not won the cup since 1982-83 season!

27 years of drought, still continues for Fenerbahce and Fenerbahce fans,,,,,,.
