Fenerbahce Not Interested In Xabi Alonso!.

Fenerbahce denied Wednesday media reports claiming that the club was in a move to sign a deal with Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

Several media reports said that Fenerbahce was bargaining with English club Liverpool, the club said in a statement posted in its website.

"These reports are not true," Fenerbahce said.

"We have no intentions to transfer Xabi Alonso," it said.

Turk Telekom signed sponsorship deal with Galatasaray.

Galatasaray signed a sponsorship with Turkey's biggest fixed-line phone company, starting from the 2009-2010 football season, Turk Telekom said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Galatasaray Sportif Sinai and Ticari Yatirimlar AS- Turk Telekomunikasyon AS accord also covers Galatasaray's new stadium, which will be named Turk Telekom Stadium for 10 years, it said.

The companies declined to disclose details of the deal's value; however said Wednesday Galatasaray would receive $40 million from Turk Telekom for the agreement.

Turkey ranked 13th in FIFA's ranking

Turkey has climbed from 14th into 13th place in the latest world soccer ranking published by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).

IFA released its world rankings for August 2008. European champions Spain remained at the top of the list.

The first twenty teams in FIFA's latest world ranking are as follows (previous position shown in brackets):

MTK Budapest 0-5 Fenerbahce FC Highlights


Last season's quarter-finalists Fenerbahce thrashed MTK Budapest 5-0 - for a 7-0 aggregate - to set up a meeting with Partizan Belgrade.

Semih Senturk scored four times for Fener while a new kid in the Fenerbahce Uniform Emre Belezoglu added another one for Fenerbahce.

Genclerbirligi OFTAS (OOPS!..)Hacettepe Transfer Two Foreign Players

Last season's Geclerbirlig OFTAS team became overnight Hacettepe in the Turkcell Super League.


It is same team but new name!...


That could only happened in Turkey!..

So,Hacettepe signed contracts with two Albanian players.
Ankara team Hacettepe signed 3-year contract each with Gilman Lika (21) and Admir Teli (27).

Lika is a midfielder and Teli is a defense player.

Youla moves to Eskisehirspor on loan

Souleymane Youla has moved from French side Lille to Turkish club Eskisehirspor on a season's loan.

Eskisehirspor are newly-promoted to Turkish Turkcell Super League.

Youla, who played for Guinea at this year's Africa Cup of Nations, had attracted interest from some French Ligue 2 clubs.

The 27-year-old signed a four-year contract with Lille in 2006, but had been struggling to get a first-team place.

His previous clubs include Metz in France, Turkish sides Gençlerbirligi and Besiktas, and Belgian clubs Lokeren and Anderlecht.

Kezman close to PSG move

According to reports from France, Fenerbahce's Kezman will be leaving to France.

Fenerbahce striker Mateja Kezman has revealed he is close to sealing a transfer to Ligue 1 side Paris St Germain.

The 29-year-old Serbia international is set to move to the French capital this week, despite being under contract at the Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium until 2010.

'The negotiations are in hand and will hopefully be settled in a day or two,' he told Serbian newspaper Sportski Zurnal.

'I think that we are close to an agreement and that the clubs are on the right track. I am close to a move to Paris, but it is necessary to await a formal agreement between the two clubs.'

Kezman will move to the Parc des Princes Frances for an estimated fee of 5 million euros.
