D Spor TV station, Doğan Yayın Holding's subsidiary, had acquired the broadcasting and name rights of League A last year. He said the goal of the company is to create a new brand and add value to it. Saygı noted that the name of the league had been changed to the TFF 1st Division at the beginning of this soccer season and that now Bank Asya has become the sponsor of the league. Saygı also emphasized that they are delighted to gain a new sponsor for sports events as these kinds of sponsorships had only been provided by a limited number of companies in Turkey.
