BESIKTAS STILL ALIVE!....

Brazilian Bobo's late goal earned Besiktas a 2-1 win over Olympique Marseille in their Champions League Group A match on Wednesday to keep alive the Turkish team's hopes of reaching the last 16.
Besiktas remain bottom but now have six points and trail Marseille and Liverpool by just a point after the English side thrashed group leaders Porto 4-1 at Anfield.
The Turks visit the Portuguese, who have eight points, in their final group match while Liverpool travel to Marseille.
With the Turkish side on the verge of elimination, striker Bobo sprinted on to a pass in the 88th minute and slotted the ball under Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
Still smarting from an 8-0 thrashing at Liverpool in their previous fixture, Besiktas were fired up for the match.
"Unfortunately, we saddened everyone in the last game and we had to win to ease that sadness," said coach Ertugrul Saglam. "Now it is down to the last match and every team can advance."
"We can beat Porto. We will do what we can to win the game and advance to the next round," he said.
The home side attacked straight from the kickoff with midfielder Rodrigo Tello firing a long-range shot just over the bar in the second minute.
With Marseille failing to impose themselves in the early stages, Besiktas continued to exert pressure culminating with Tello opening the scoring in the 27th minute.
The Chilean curled a freekick over the wall and into the right-hand corner, leaving Mandanda helpless.
Marseille emerged in the second half with more purpose and got their reward in the 65th minute when Nigerian substitute Taye Taiwo drove in a powerful long-range shot to beat Turkey goalkeeper Rustu Recber.
Marseille's equaliser shook Besiktas back into life and with two minutes of normal time remaining, Bobo revived the Turkish side's hopes of advancing to the knockout phase.

FENERBAHCE HAS TO WAIT UNTIL LAST MATCH !

Inter Milan 3-0 Fenerbahce
Julio Cruz, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Jimenez bagged second half goals as Internazionale booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League with a demolition of Fenerbahce on Tuesday. The Italian champions waited 55 minutes to make the breakthrough, Cruz tapping in the opener, but thereafter they were unstoppable.

Ibrahimovic made it two with an exquisite finish 25 minutes from time and following a flurry of chances substitute Jimenez wrapped up the rout in injury time. it takes Roberto Mancini`s side onto 12 points from five games - an insurmountable Group G lead of four points from Fenerbahce - while the Turks hold a slender one-point lead over PSV Eindhoven, who beat CSKA Moscow. Despite what lay ahead, Fenerbahce started brightly. Selcuk Sahin crashed a drive against the advertising hoardings after a minute, while Gokhan Gonul had Esteban Cambiasso scrambling to clear a cross five minutes later. Wayward efforts from Wederson, Sahin and Roberto Carlos followed as Zico`s midfield creators developed a rhythm, but ultimately it was Inter who had the better chances.

Dejan Stankovic set the trend in the 12th minute, heading over Maxwell`s cross when in front of goal, and Cruz emphasised the point by blasting inches wide 20 minutes later. In between, Cristian Chivu thought he had won a penalty when brought down by Diego Lugano, but the referee correctly waved away the appeals, and Ibrahimovic nearly coaxed an own goal from Gokhan when he fired a low cross in front of goal 10 minutes before half-time. Three more efforts came from the left shin of Ibrahimovic, the shoulder of Stankovic and right boot of Cambiasso, but Inter could not find a goal and Fenerbache still looked secure. Indeed, they were brightest at the onset of the second period. Deivid did the bulk of the damage, making incisive runs from the left, while Alex looked dangerous on the end of crosses. It was the latter who had the first meaningful chance of the half, side-footing wide from outside the area, but, like the first period, Inter were soon looking more dangerous and it paid off in the 55th minute. Maxwell was the architect of the opener, breaking down the left and firing a dangerous ball across the six-yard box, and Cruz claimed the goal after lunging past centre-half Edu. Ibrahimovic then skied a chance to double the lead, but he was back to his clinical best 25 minutes from time when he got Inter`s second of the game and his fifth of the campaign. Chivu supplied the cross, whipping a bouncing ball in from the left, and Ibrahimovic did the rest, trapping the ball before calmly squeezing his shot through the gap made by Roberto Carlos` thigh and the keeper`s left-hand post. Thereafter, Fenerbahce lost their spark and nearly fell three behind when Ibrahimovic`s 35-yard free-kick stung the fingertips of Volkan Demirel. It was a good save by Demirel, only bettered by that he made at the feet of David Suazo in the final five minutes, but it was scant consolation as the score was soon 3-0. Cambiasso was the creator, playing in Jimenez, a substitute for Maxwell, who used the outside of his boot to swerve the ball around Demirel in the 92nd minute.
