FENERBAHCE OR BURSASPOR?

The teams on top of the Turkish Turkcell super league, all won their matches in the 32th week.

Fenerbahce still leads the pack on top with 70 points...

Fenerbahce beat Eskisehirspor with clear 2-0 score and after the match Fenerbahce coach Cristoph Daum said "we played a very good first half, scored two goals and kept our opponent under pressure in the second half”

He went on to say “my players have been under a lot of stress in recent weeks, but it seems like the pressure has made them stronger.”

He also said the tile challenge will be carried to the last game. “But I believe that Fenerbahce will come out on top”


Bursaspor already secured the second place and the Champions League for the next season with a win against Kayserispor.

Bursaspor is one point behind Fenerbahce and they will earn three points without playing in the 33th week.


Even though Galatasaray won their match,there is no way they could catch Bursaspor, after this weekend..

Galatasaray finished 32th week, in third place with Milan Baros goal in their 1-0 win at Istanbul BB.

Galatasaray will play in the Europa League next season.

The pressure will be on once again on Fenerbahce in the 33th week.

Fenerbahce also will play Turkish Cup final match against Trabzonspor this coming Wednesday, before the clash with Ankaragucu in Ankara!


This week could be really crucial week for Turkish top team Fenerbahce....

A draw or a loss against Ankaragucu , could make Bursaspor the top team at the end of 33th week.

That is why this has to be the most important week in the Turkish Super League..

If Fenerbahce lose point and points this coming weekend, we could see two final matches in the last weekend of the season.

Fenerbahce will be home against Trabzon and Bursaspor will host Besiktas in Bursa..

What a weekend would that be if this goes to down to the wire....

On the other hand Besiktas clinch European berth with a win against Diyarbakirspor in Diyarbakir.

With this loss, Diyarbakirspor have a slim chances to remain in the league.

Fenerbahce made it eight in a row out of nine matches...

Can they do it nine in a row out of ten matches?.

Well, If they do that, they will be really close to the finish line......

Get ready for down to wire race, on top of the Turkey's top league.

"IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER" IN THE TURKISH TOP LEAGUE!

SUPER DUPER SATURDAY.....

If you remember, I have told you guys that we probably wont find out soon,who will be the Champion in the Turkey's top league.

Three weeks to go, still ,we don't know who will finish first, just yet.....

But, Saturday results, might just give us a better picture, on top of the Turkish Turkcell Super League.

Action filled Saturday ,will keep Turkish soccer fans in front of their tv's trying to watch, all three matches at the same time..(20.00 Local Turkey Time)

Turkey's top team Fenerbahce, will host one of the strong Anatolian team Eskisehirspor in Kadikoy on the other hand, leagues second place team Bursaspor, will face Kayserispor at Bursa. Bursaspor coach Ertugrul Saglam, will take on his former team Kayserispor.

It will be very interesting, how well Kayserispor will play against Bursaspor.

The third place team Galatasaray, who loss their hopes for the title last week , still, has a chance to capture the second place, if they win their three remaning matches and hope Bursaspor lose their two remaining matches.


Galatasaray will face Istanbul B.B., in Ataturk stadium on Saturday night also.

"Saturday night fever" will be really high in the Turkish Super league,,,,,

Fenerbahce and Burssaspor has to win their matches if they want to remain in their places...

A loss or loss of points will spell danger for both teams...

If Galatasaray win their match on Saturday night..........

During the past week,Bursaspor coach Ertugrul Saglam said this..."Our opponent will play three more games, while we will play two,”. Bursaspor will receive an automatic victory against Ankaraspor next week.

He also said,"We will win our two games and keep our fingers crossed for Fenerbahce to drop points,” said Bursaspor coach. “If we become the champions, we will celebrate it with our fans, but if we can’t – God forbid – we will honestly congratulate our opponent."

On the other hand, Fenerbahce has won seven of the eight games it has played....

Fenerbahce who has 67 points will face very difficult team Eskisehirspor...

Could Fener make it eight out of nine?

It will not be easy..... but their home turf and their rowdy 12th man, will be a plus, for Fenerbahce on Saturday.

After this weekend, Fenerbahce still have a bumpy road to the finish..........

Next weekend they will travel to Ankara, to play Ankaragucu, who is "sister team" with Bursaspor, than in the last weekend, they will face Trabzonspor in Istanbul .

Plus, they will play in the Turkish Cup Final,against Trabzonspor on May 5th, in Urfa ,Turkey.

So, it is very tricky schedule coming up for Fenerbahce, in the coming days...

They have to be focused to the finish or else will happened....

As long as they win their games ,Bursaspor could not catch Fenerbahce....

But, they have to be perfect in the next three, weekends...

Again, at this moment, I still can't say, who will win the title, in the Turkish Turkcell Super League , just yet......


Also on Saturday,Ankaragücü will hosts Trabzonspor in the afternoon.


RELEGATION SUNDAY............

Sunday will be to be or not to be for Diyarbakirspor team...

If they lose to Besiktas at home , they will be the third team, who will bite the dust, in the Turkish Turkcell Super league.

Denizlispor and Ankarspor allready said good -bye........

Also on Sunday,Gaziantepspor will face Antalyaspor in Antalya, already-relegated Denizlispor will host Genclerbirligi,and Kasımpasaspor will visit Sivasspor.

The bottom of the Turkish Super League is prety much shapped up...

But, the top, is boiling .........

THE HEAT OF THE "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" WILL BE FELT IN THE THREE DIFFERENT STADIUM IN TURKEY ON SATURDAY NIGHT....
