VERY TOUGH TEST FOR TRABZONSPOR IN PORTUGAL

Trabzonspor will take on SL Benfica of Portugal on Wendsday....


Turkish Super League runners-up Trabzonspor will play an away UEFA Champions League qualifying match with SL Benfica of Portugal on Wednesday.

The first leg of the Trabzonspor v SL Benfica UEFA Champions League third qualifying round will begin at 9:45 p.m. Turkish local time (2,45 PM,ET ) on July 27.


The second leg to be played in Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium next week.

The losing sides will go onto the UEFA Europa League play-offs while the winners will compete for a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

If Trabzonspor goes through, this will be the first Champions League for them in their history!

Trabzonspor signed Didier Zokora from Sevilla, Adrian Mierzejewski from Warsaw ,Ondrej Celustka from Slavia Prague and Turkish international forward Halil Altıntop, former Galatasaray midfielder Barıs Ozbek.

But they lost a very good player Selcuk Inan to Galatasaray......

On the other hand Benfica is full of good players,,,,

Argentinean players Pablo Aimar and Javier Saviola, Spanish players Joan Capdevila and Javi Garcia and homegrown Nuno Gomes, Carlos Martins and Ruben Amorim....

BURSASPOR AND GAZIANTEP PLAYS ON THURSDAY.....

Bursaspor will host Belarus's Gomel in UEFA Europa League third qualifying round first leg on Thursday.

the match will kick off at 20.30 hours (Turkish local time) at the Bursa Ataturk Stadium.

UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round first leg matches will take place on July 28 with the return match taking place one week later on August 4.


Gaziantepspor will play a home game against Poland's Legia in UEFA Europa League third qualifying round first leg on Thursday.

The game will kick off at 21.00(Turkish local time) at the Kamil Ocak Stadium in south-eastern province of Gaziantep.


The second leg match will take place one week later on August 4, too....
