Fenerbahce started the second half with a win while others slip up !

Fenerbahce extended their lead at the top of the Turkish Super League to 10 points with a 2-1 win over Konyaspor on Monday.
Ersun Yanal's Fenerbahce  came from behind again to claim all three points against relegation threatened Konyaspor, who took the lead after 22 minutes through Angolan striker Djalma.
Fenerbahce fought back and levelled just before half-time thanks to defender Bruno Alves, with centre-back Egemen Korkmaz sealing the victory nine minutes from time.
Win against Konya, cemented Fenerbahce's position at the summit of the division after second-placed Istanbul rivals Galatasaray could only manage a 0-0 draw at Gaziantepspor on Sunday.
Galatasaray were aiming to win all their matches at home and away and wait for Fenerbahce to drop points. But after Galatasaray was held 0-0 away by Gaziantep in Gaziantep ....
Sivasspor also took advantage of Gala's slip-up with a 3-0 win over bottom club Kayserispor that moves Roberto Carlos' men into third, just two points adrift of Roberto Mancini's team.
French midfielder Aatif Chahechouhe put Sivasspor in command with a second-half double, and defender Ziya Erdal capped things off on 82 minutes shortly after Sereno had been sent off for the visitors.
Kasimpasa fall to fourth as a result of a goalless draw against Karabukspor, while Hugo Almeida's 85th minute effort earned Besiktas a 1-1 draw at Trabzonspor.
At the bottom of the table Elazigspor sealed a third win in four league games with a 2-1 triumph over Akhisar Belediyespor but Kayseri Erciyesspor's hopes of survival remain slim following a 3-1 loss to Antalyaspor.
Elsewhere, Brazilian striker Fernandao scored twice in Bursaspor's 3-1 win over 10-man Eskisehirspor and Genclerbirligi defeated Rizespor by the same scoreline.

Turkish Court upholds Fenerbahce chairman sentence over match-fixing

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - A top court in Turkey upheld a match-fixing sentence for Fenerbahce chairman Aziz Yildirim on Friday, in a decision that partially approved a local court ruling that had convicted 93 defendants in connection with the case two years ago, local media reported.

In 2012, Yildirim appealed against the ruling that sentenced him to six years and three months in prison for match-fixing in Turkey's top league and forming an unarmed crime gang for this purpose. Yildirim had served one year in prison pending trial.

The court's ruling will also prevent Yildirim from working for the club.

UEFA also banned Besiktas and Fenerbahce from European competitions for match-fixing.

Scores of individuals, including agents, former players and club managers were arrested in two waves of the probe, with Yildirim being the highest-profile figure.

First Turkish referee in World Cup in 40 years!

Cuneyt Cakır was among the 25 referees named by FIFA in Bern, Switzerland, on Wednesday for this year's World Cup finals in Brazil. The 37-year-old Çakır will thereby become the first Turkish referee since 1974 -- four decades to be more accurate -- to officiate in a World Cup tournament. His assistants will be Bahattin Duran and Tarık Ongun.

Retired Doğan Babacan, now 84, was the first Turk to officiate a World Cup tournament -- the 1974 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

World Cup final referee Howard Webb of England was also named by FIFA. The list included nine referees from Europe, five from South America, four from Asia, three each from Africa and the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) and one from Oceania. Each referee was selected as a part of a team including two linesmen.

Felix Brych was picked from Germany, Carlos Velasco from Spain and Nicola Rizzoli from Italy, while there were no referees from France. Sandro Ricci was named as Brazil's referee and Nestor Pitana Argentina's.

Brych was involved in the so-called phantom goal match during a Bundesliga clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim in October. He awarded a Stefan Kiessling goal for Leverkusen after failing to see that the ball had entered the net through a hole in the side.

Englishman Webb handed out 14 yellow cards and one red in the Spain-Netherlands final in 2010, although he was widely criticized for failing to send off any Dutch players in a wild first half as Spain went on to win 1-0 after extra time.

“FIFA has implemented a comprehensive programme to ensure that the referees for its flagship competition are in peak condition,” the world soccer's governing body said in a statement.

“The referees selected for the World Cup in Brazil have been chosen based especially on their personality and their quality in football understanding by being able to read the game and the teams' tactical approaches towards each game.”

The referees at a glance: Ravshan Irmatov (Uzbekistan), Yuichi Nishimura (Japan), Nawaf Shukralla (Bahrain), Benjamin Williams (Australia), Noumandiez Doue (Ivory Coast), Bakary Papa Gassama (Gambia), Djamel Haimoudi (Algeria), Joel Aguilar (El Salvador), Mark Geiger (United States), Marco Antonio Rodriguez (Mexico), Enrique Osses (Chile), Nestor Pitana (Argentina), Sandro Ricci (Brazil), Wilmar Roldan (Colombia), Carlos Vera (Ecuador), Peter O'Leary (New Zealand), Felix Brych (Germany), Cüneyt Çakır (Turkey), Jonas Eriksson (Sweden), Bjorn Kuipers (Netherlands), Milorad Mazic (Serbia), Pedro Proenca (Portugal), Nicola Rizzoli (Italy), Carlos Velasco (Spain), Howard Webb (England).

Let's Meet Izet Hajrovic

Let's Meet Izet Hajrovic
By Aydin Reyhan

Galatasaray is a club that has recently been known to sign big-name players such as WesleySneijder and Didier Drogba to help bull doze their way through the Champions League andSuper League. Little did anyone know that management had plans to bring over some rising stars from lesser leagues around Europe.
Why would this team want to bring in a younger guy from a league that cannot even measure up to the Turkish one?
Simple: this kid has a bright future.
Before we get to who he is, let us take a look at an up-and-coming winger who will shine for the Portuguese international senior side one day:Bruma. Galatasaray purchased his rights over the summer from Sporting Lisbon for a whopping €12 million after he impressed in the U-20 FIFA World Cup with goals and assists. However, at the club level, he still has to reach his full potential, but let us remember that he is still only 19.
The reason why Bruma needed to be mentioned is because the new kid on the block is 22 and is aBosnian international. He scored the game-winner in Slovakia from distance in the 77th minute to make it 2-1. Who is he?
Izet Hajrovic — a 22-year-old winger who plies his trade in Switzerland for Grasshopper.
The youngster played at the youth level for Switzerland, but chose to pledge his international future to Bosnia where he has now scored one goal in four appearances. His name shone above the likes of Edin Dzeko andMiralem Pjanic – two men whose names are still on the rise after all this time on the international stage.
If and when Hajrovic joins Galatasaray, he is expected to make an immediate impact on the right or left flank. He has speed, strength, skill and confidence which are all needed when it comes to playing for the best Turkish club in history. He will fight for a spot in the starting 11 and look to impress in a formation that will suit his style: 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 3-5-2.
The Champions League Round of 16 is a series that he can participate in since he only played in the Europa League for Grasshopper. If he plays well in this competition as well as domestically, a starting spot is more than possible for Bosnia in their first ever World Cup this summer in Brazil.
Hajrovic to Galatasaray can be a move that goes down in history.

and agent, had been negotiating with Besiktas for over six months.
De Telegraaf say Ronaldinho has agreed a two-and-a-half year

deal with Besiktas worth between 10 and 15 million euros
There is a major sponsor will help to pay Ronaldinho's  salary..

Trabzonspor to face Juventus

Juventus will return to Turkey, the scene of their surprise Champions League exit, after the Europa League last-32 draw pitted the Serie A leaders against Trabzonspor.

Juventus surrendered their place in the knockout stages of Europe's premier competition by losing at Galatasaray last week and dropped into the Europa League, meaning they will host Trabzonspor in Turin on February 20 before heading to the transcontinental nation a week later.

The reigning Italian champions will hope to put the disappointment of a curtailed Champions League campaign behind them by reaching the final which will be held at their Juventus Stadium on May 14.
