Turkish Super Cup : Drogba Factor !

Let's face it , we could call him most recognize player who is playing in Turkey.

He is  Galatasaray players Didier Drogba! 

He has been with Galatasaray only six month , but he is setting records ! 

A league Championship ...,

Emirates Cup ..,,

And now , helping Galatasaray winning 

Turkish Super Cup !

In short.  six month time...,,,,

Last season when he helped Galatasaray win the league tittle ....

Drogba played in 10 matches and scored  5 goals and assisted on 6 goals !

This season , he scored two goals against Arsenal when Galatasaray won the Emirates Cup and scoring one on Sunday in the overtime to claim Turkish Super Cup . 

That is without a doubt is Drogba factor !

Even though , Drogba was not on Fatih Terim's list !

Galatasaray CEO  Unal Aysal made move and got Drogba from China ...

Galatasaray fans should be thankful their  President for that !

There no question , Drogba is the leader on the pitch for Galatasaray ..,

Although , Fenerbahçe's new defender Buruno Alves shot him down pretty good until he received a red card at the 62 minute of the match ....

Looking at the match.,,,

Fenerbahçe had many chances early minutes of the match but, they couldn't cash  it in !

Both keepers were fantastic ...

Mert Gunok kept , Fenerbahçe with his saves before Drogba scored ...

And Muslera kept Galatasaray's lead after Drogba scored !

Both made some huge saves in the match ...

Even though , Drogba scored on him, Fenerbahçe keeper Mert Gunok won the most valuable players award by TFF ...

Drogba's powered header was the only goal in the Turkish Super Cup in Kayseri .

Just before, the season started this weekend , Drogba factor is already working for Galatasaray .

Galatasaray with the help from Drogba won the Turkish Super Cup against 10 -man Fenerbahçe team ...

Also.this was Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim's 13th cup winning, in his career .He surpassed Trabzonspor former coach Ahmet Suat Ozyazici ,who won 12 cup titles in his career .

He is Emanuel Emenike....

He will not play in the Turkish Super Cup but he will be big scoring power in the league games and also against Arsenal...

Every season , League Champions and Turkish Cup winners play for Turkish Super Cup...

The 2012-2013  Turkish Super Lig Champions Galatasaray and 2012-2013 Turkish Cup winners Fenerbahce will face each other in Kayseri on Sunday.

Fenerbahce will be without their starting keeper Volkan Demirel ...

This should be very fun match to watch....

Players like, Drogba ,Sneijder and Burak Yilmaz should be on the pitch for Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce's Dirk Kuyt , Sow and Webo  could do damage on Galatasaray's week defense.

This is no friendly match....

Both teams would want to win this trophy and start the league on a good note....

It will be very interesting  if they pull this one out....

Bursaspor sack coach Hikmet Karaman

The Turkish Super League didn't even start yet but we have one coach already shown the door!

Bursaspor coach sacked on Friday after a huge loss at home in the Europa League play-off match...

Hikmet Karaman ,started the last season, with Gazinatep and later, in the late part of the second half of the season came to Bursaspor after Ertugrul Saglam resigned from his duties .

Since that time, Hikmet Karaman was coach of the Bursaspor....

Made a good run in the last part of the season with Bursa team....

Unfortunately, the man who gave him the job, has died suddenly and  Bursa club elected new CEO!

Things did not go that well with new CEO and Hikmet Karaman!

The loss at home against Serb team was Karaman's biggest cause .....

Fans called his resignation during the match....

Bursaspor officially announced  sacking news on Friday , on their web site.

There are few Turkish name coaches that is being talked  at water-cooler .....

Reportedly, Mustafa Denizli was asked and he did not want the job!

Most likely, one of the Turkish coaches who is  out of work will coach Bursaspor...

That is the way ,how Turkish football clubs run their team...

Fenerbahce Draws Arsenal !

Fenerbahce to face Arsenal in Champions League

Fenerbahce's opponent became Arsenal FC at the play-off tour of UEFA Champions League.

Fenerbahce will attend the champions leauge's group phase if they would eleminate Arsenal FC and Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) would not suspend the club from European cups.

Fenerbahce will play the first match against Arsenal FC in Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on 20-21 August, and second match will be played in Emirates Stadium in London on 28-29 August.

UEFA Europe League play-off draw concluded and the opponents of Besiktas JK and Trabzonspor AS came out.

It is time for Trabzon and Bursa to do it

After Fenerbahce advance in the Champions League on Tuesday,
it is time for Trabzonspor and Bursaspor do it same thing...

They are both at home and playing in front of their fans,,,,

Trabzonspor beat Dinamo Minsk with one goal 1-0, in the first leg match last week.

A new coach Mustafa Akcay warned his players not to be overconfident against Minsk team.

This will be coach Mustafa Akcay's first official European match at Trabzon Avni Aker stadium.

The advantage is on Trabzon side but, they could not give up any goal against Minsk !

That could spell danger for them...

On the other hand, Bursaspor tied 2-2 in the first leg match against Vojvodino team from Serbia.

This will be first official European  home match for Bursaspor coach Hikmet Karaman too1

On the papar Bursaspor has a good team, playing in front of  their own fans should give them 12th man , power.

Scoring two away goals in the first leg match is big plus for Bursaspor.

Under normal circumstances, both teams should advance and book their tickets to Europa League playoffs.
 
Bursaspor vs Vojvodino match will start at 8.30 local Turkey time (1.30 ET ) and Turkish TRT Spor  will bradcast the match live...

On the other hand Trabzonspor vs Minsk match will start at 9.00 pm local time (2.00 ET) and  will broadcast by D Smart Spor.

Fenerbahce Did It !Fenerbahce 3 - Salzburg 1

Fenerbahce defeated Red Bull Salzburg 3-1 after falling behind early minutes,

at the second leg match  in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round 

scoring three goals against Salzburg!

Fenerbahce qualified for the play-off rounds after Tuesday's win. 

The two sided drew 1-1 in the first leg game in Austria. 

Fenerbahce keeper Volkan Demirel made some huge saves 

in the second half of the match..

Dirk Kuyt assisted on two Fenerbahce goals ...

Kuyt was a factor in this match along with Volkan Demirel and goal scorers !

After the match coach Ersun Yanal said ,they did not play that good

 but win was good enough to go through .

This was first official match for  Ersun Yanal at Fenerbahce's Rustu Saracoglu stadium.

With this score Fenerbahce advance in  Champions League.
