Dynamo Kiev 1- Besiktas 0

Besiktas had the one point in their hand, but they lost it with stupid plays in the stoppage- time!

Keeper Cenk Gonen's trying to delay the match and getting yellow card and Besiktas caretaker coach Carlos Carvalhal's substitution in the stoppage-time was biggest mistake in this match...

So, with this last-gasp goal Besiktas ,not only lost the match, they also lost the second place in the group to Dynamo Kiev.

Besiktas after losing a chance to capture the second place in the Turkish Super League this past weekend lost the second place with this last second minute lost in the Europa League in Group E.

Besiktas who spend million dollars in the transfer season, really surprising their fans with on and off the pitch.

Lastly, I have said this many times, Big teams should have smart and experience keepers in goal!

Yesterday , we saw this one more time again.....

Cenk could be young upcoming keeper but last night,he did not show that in the stoppage-time of the match!

Garmash scored in the third minute of stoppage time as Dynamo Kiev earned 1-0 win over Besiktas....

Trabzonspor goes down in Moskow to CSKA in Champions League 3-0

Champions League Group B leaders Trabzonspor loss to CSKA Moskow on Tuesday in Moskow with a surprise score 3-0.

Seydou Doumbia scored twice ......

Doumbia opened the scoring in the 29th minute after Vagner Love’s neat back heel pass near the box.

Seydou Doumbia fired a low right-foot shot into the corner. Substitute Aleksandrs Cauna made it 2-0, volleying home Love’s high cross in the 76th, and Doumbia finished the scoring after a rapid counterattack 10 minutes later.

This was first win for Moskow in the group and put them with Trabzonspor same level, on four points from three games in Group B.

Trabzonspor will host CSKA on November 2.....

CSKA's Doumbia has scored four goals in three games so far.

Trabzonspor's only clear opportunity was when Adrian Mierzejewski volleyed wide and Brazilian Alanzinho went through on goal but collided with the goalkeeper.

The ball rebounded to striker Halil Altintop, who shot straight at defender Sergei Ignashevich with the goal wide open.

TEAMS.....

CSKA Moscow: 30-Vladimir Gabulov; 59-Semen Fedotov, 24-Vasily Berezutsky, 4-Sergei Ignashevich, 6-Alexei Berezutsky; 21-Zoran Tosic (19-Aleksandrs Cauna 62), 22-Yevgeny Aldonin, 17-Pavel Mamayev (2-Deividas Semberas 70), 10-Alan Dzagoyev; 9-Vagner Love, 8-Seydou Doumbia (25-Elver Rahimic 87)

Trabzonspor: 29-Tolga Zengin; 5-Marek Cech (27-Marek Sapara 75), 6-Arkadiusz Glowacki, 23-Giray Kacar, 28-Ondrej Celustka, 30-Serkan Balci; 15-Didier Zokora, 20-Gustavo Colman, 25-Alanzinho (32-Pawel Brozek 46); 9-Halil Altintop (24-Aykut Akgun 90+1), 10-Adrian Mierzejewski

CSKA vs Trabzonspor Preview

Trabzonspor coach Senol Gunes has challenged his team to build on their thrilling start to the Champions League by claiming four points against CSKA Moscow.

In their first tilt at the Champions League, after being called in to replace scandal-hit Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor have started by beating Inter Milan at the San Siro and drawing at home against French champions Lille.

They face CSKA on Tuesdayevening in the Russian capital, where temperatures are expected to dip close to freezing, and then again in Trabzon on November 2.
Should they reach eight points after those games they will be handily placed to push for a place in the knock-out stage.

Gunes, who returns to the bench after a two-game touchline ban, told todayszaman.com: "We have never played our opponent before. But we know for sure that they are a good team.
"If we win, that will be a great advantage for us in the group. If we lose, then we will fall behind.

"Simply put, if we can draw there and win at home in Istanbul, then we will earn four points and that's what we're looking for."

CSKA have dropped to second place in the Russian league behind Zenit St Petersburg after winning just twice in 10 games, while Trabzonspor have made a mixed start to the Turkish season, taking 11 points from their opening six matches, and leaking late goals has been a problem.
Trabzonspor won at the weekend against Ankaragucu while CSKA were held at home by Terek Grozny after throwing away a two-goal lead.

At least CSKA have been able to count on striker Seydou Doumbia for goals, with eight in nine games his running total.

Trabzonspor have their own prolific marksman, but Burak Yilmaz has been suspended in European competition since his red card against Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League play-offs, and serves the final game of his ban on Tuesday.

CSKA head coach Leonid Slutski said: "Burak is a very good striker of course, but Trabzonspor have won four points without him."
Slutski is expected to be without midfielder Sekou Oliseh, who suffered a hamstring injury in training last week, but has indicated he will look again at the Liberian midfielder's fitness on Tuesday.

CSKA have drawn with Lille and lost to Inter Milan so far in this European campaign, but defender Kirill Nababkin still holds out hope of a top-two finish in Group B.
Nababkin said on uefa.com: "We're playing at home, so we need to win.

"We have our backs against the wall, but we're still capable of progressing from the group."

Turkish Super League: Week 6, Preview

It will be, back to Turkish Super League on Friday with Trabzonspor vs Ankaragucu match..

With a win against Ankaragucu at home could move Trabzonspor to second place with 11 points, before the Saturday, Sunday matches.

There will be three matches on Saturday , four matches on Sunday and one match on Monday in the week 6.

The first place team and last season's Champion Fenerbahce will have to wait until Monday night to play.

On Saturday if Besiktas beats Kayseri at home they will even the points with Fenerbahce before Monday.

On Sunday, Galatasaray and Buyuksehir will be both home and will try to get three poinst to reach Fenerbahce too..

Buyuksehir will host Samsunspor while Galatasaray will have first real test against Bursaspor this season!

Galatasaray team has not lost a home match at their new nest Turk Telekom Arena "Aslantepe",

this season..

On the other hand Bursaspor who is only one point behind, would want to earn point or points against Galatasaray on Sunday....

Bursaspor, after a shaky start in the first couple matches, they are on the right track...

Bursaspor is the only team scored 11 goals in last five matches in the league....

Look for Bursaspor give hard time to Galatasaray, in this match!

On Monday, week 6, will come to end with Fenerbace traveling to Mersin....

Mersin is the leagues new team and with a lot of good experience players and good coach.

Mersin is the other team who has 10 points too...

They are better team in away matches....

At home, withe pitch being very bad, they don't play that good...

Monday's Fenerbahce match will be huge match for Mersin...

I think, this is first time a Turkey's giant Fenerbahce will be visiting this city in over thirty years!

Fenerbahce looks better on the scale but don't underestimate Mersin....

So,busy football fixture will start once again, for Turks and Turkish football team...

Football almost every day!

For Trabzonspor and Besiktas it will be much harder playing their European matches too..

Until, National team brake ,Turkish Super League will be in full force mode!

Euro 2012 playoff seeds announced

Turkey is not top seeded team in the playoffs !

Turkish Football Federation web site(www.tff.org) made a huge error yesterday, announcing Turkey as a top seeded team in the play-offs!

Well that was not truth and it was bogus news from TFF!

UEFA have announced the seeds for the Euro 2012 playoffs, after the final round of qualifying matches were completed on Tuesday.

The four teams seeded for the draw are 2004 hosts and beaten finalists Portugal, Giovanni Trapattoni's Republic of Ireland, Euro 1996 runners-up Czech Republic and Slaven Bilic's Croatia.

The four other nations in the draw are 2008 semifinalists Turkey and three countries bidding to reach their first major soccer tournament -- Montenegro, Estonia and Bosnia Herzegovina.

The playoff draw will be made in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev on Thursday, with the two-legged ties set to be played on November 11/12 and 15.

Next year's tournament will be the 14th European championship and will be co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine
