Bursaspor vs Besiktas match called off by Turkish football federation due to fan violence

This has to be the darkest day in Turkish Football!

A couple hundred hooligans. did a biggest damage, to their own team Bursa and Turkish football..


Before the Bursa vs Besiktas match, these hooligans, took the streets and clash with the police

The scene,out side of the stadium was just ugly!


While this was happening, there were fans in the stadium, in the stands, waiting comely for the match...


There were 29 people injured in this clash...

Polis was preventing Bursaspor hooligans, attacking Besiktas fans....


Turkish Football Federation has decided to cancelled the match....

They will not play this match again...

It looks like, Bursa will forfeit the match 3-0 , and will get much more sanctions by Turkish football federation...

THE TITLE CHASE GOES ON IN THE TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE

FENERBAHCE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT,.,,,,

The title chase in Turkey, goes on after Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor won their matches in the 31th weekend.

There are three more matches, to be played....

Even though Trabzonspor wins all their last three matches, they have to wait for Fenerbhace to lose points in the coming weekends.

They are, both at 73 points ....

But, Fenerbahce is better in the head to head competition ....

Both of the team were at home last weekend as they won their match..

Fenerbahce passed Istanbul Buyuksehir with no resisting from Buyuksehir as they beat them with two first half goals!


Miroslav Stoch ,score the first goal in the second minute of the match and Alex De Souza scored the second goal in the closing minutes of the first half,,,,

Top scorer in the Turkish Super League, Alez De Souza, scored his second 22th goal in this match..



On the other hand, the other tittle chaser, Trabzponspor , who was complaining last weekend, about the referee's, handed, very critical call in favored of them!

Trabzonspor beat, 10-man Gazinatep, at home, with three first half, goals....

In the 22th minute of the match, Cuneyt Cakir who is FIFA batch referee, blew it and gave PK , to Trabzonspor and gave a red card to Gaziantep defender Dany!

Burak Yilmaz, took the penalty kick and scored the first goal in the match,,,,,,

Later, Polish player Pawel Brozek scored the second goal with nice header goal and Burak Yilmaz scored his second and Trabzonspor third goal...


We could say, Trabzonspor after leading this league by nine points at the half, gave the driver's seat to Fenerbahce!

To get that seat, first, they have to win their all remaining matches and pray, one of the Fenerbahce opponents ,steel point or points from Fenebshce....

Both of the team will play their 32th weekend matches on Sunday at the same game time...


Both of them, will be play in the away matches....

Fener will visit Karabuk while Trabzon will travel to Izmir to face ,Buca....

On the paper, Fenerbahce's match is more harder but than against we should not forget, what Fenerbahce gone through in Izmir against Bucaspor!

The tittle chase, will go on in Turkey and it will be neck and neck on race!

CRUNCH TIME, AS FENERBAHCE CAPTURES THE TOP SPOT, IN TURKEY

Being in front, with nine points at the end of the first half of the season, than giving up the first place, to Fenerbahce, in the 24th weekend, than recapturing it, at the 27th weekend ,now in the 30th weekend, once again, giving it back to Fenerbahce !

That is what exactly Trabzonspor, did!

It has been, sea-saw and very frustrated second half ...

Just when they were two points ahead, they could not put the ball in the back of the net in Eskisehir on Friday in the opening match of 30th weekend!

They knew, they had to win the match but , they showed no sign of quest!

After a draw in Eskisehir, they gave a chance once more time to Fenerbahce ,again...

Trabzonspor is very stressed out team starting with their coaching staff....

They better shape up ...


Otherwise, Fenerbahce could well be the next Champions on their mistakes!

On the other hand Fenerbahce, won it with miracle score and came back from 3-1 deficit to beat Buca in Izmir with 3-5 score!


Being overconfidence and looking down to opponent,almost cost the match for Fenerbahce!

No Fenerbahce fans, were happy, until 60th minute of the match.....

After very controversial penalty kick call by referee , Fenerbahce saw the light!

Until that moment Fenrbahce was disaster as a team....

Only good thing was Emre's goal....

Thanks to huge mistake by Buca defender, who passed the ball to Alex , like Alex was his teammate and Alex gave a pass to Emre and Emre send it in from 30 yards out!

That was great goal..Bucaspor keeper Pavel Londak, couldn't do anything...


Fenerbahce team captain, Alex, scored on penalty kick and tying, third goal, with header and later Guiza made it 3-4 and last but not least Santos scored the fifth goal for Fenerbahce..

Guiza's crying, after the goal, showed us, were are all human....


IT was a good come back win for Fenerbahce ......

But, That penalty call by the referee change outcome of this match!

Also, Bucaspor rookie coach's very crucial substitutions,help Fenerbahce and hurt Buca team..

At the end, Fenerbahce with this win recaptured the top spot in Turkey, again.....

They both have 70 points but, Head to head competition
So, even Trabzonspor wins all their four matches, and Fenerbahce wins all theirs, Fenerbahce will be the Champs!

IT IS CRUNCH TIME IN THE TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE.......

Next four weekends will be crunch time, for teams like, Trabzonspor, Fenerbahce on top and for Bursaspor and Gaziantepspor for the third place and for teams who are at the edge of the relegation line!

Many opportunities came and gone for Trabzonspor now the ball is at Fenerbahce side..

One thing though, both of the teams ,did not play like they were the contender for the top spot!

Coming up this weekend , both of them will play on Sunday at the samme time...

And both of the will be at home...

Trabzonspor will host Gaziantep and Fener will host Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediye...

Very though opponents and very crucial matches...


FROM BEING GOAT TO HERO.....DANIEL GUIZA....

He has played very little for Fenerbahce and was under a lot of stress , did not liked by Fenerbahce fans until he scored that historical third goal to tied the match against Buca!

That goal made Spanish international player Daniel Guiza, cried after the goal and after the match in front of live microphone of LIG TV....


He said ,"It affects you when you don’t play for a long time despite wanting to play so badly. I am happy that I have started to contribute to the team’s title run.”

Yesterday's goat, became a hero and historical hero for Fenerbahce!

That was the human side of this past weekend..

Thrill of the victory goes to Fenerbahce while agony of defeat is to Trabzon!

Four weeks is long time for Championship!

There will be a lot of water passing under this bridge....

My prediction is, it will go down to wire!

One fact, Trabzonspor don't have the depth in their squad.....

Fenerbahce does and they are quality one

That is the only big difference......

WHO WILL FINISH FIRST IN TURKEY? TRABZONSPOR OR FENERBAHCE?

Well, after the 29th weekend in Turkish Spor Toto Super League, Trabzonspor still holds on to the lead with two points.

Although Fenerbahce captured the first place on Saturday,gave it back to Trabzonspor after Trabzonspor beat Bursaspor at home with Burak Yilmaz's only goal again!

Five weeks to go in the Turkish Super League, it is very hard to predict the Champion, just yet..

The last five weekends, will be very crucial for Trabzons and Fener!

Trabzonspor with two point ahead of Fenerbahce, is going to open the 30th weekend on Friday in away match, in Eskisehir...

This match and next weekend's match against Gaziantep, will be very difficult matches for Trabzonspor.

On the other hand , Fenerbahce will travel to Izmir to play Bucaspor, who is already making plans for lower division!

Fenerbahce's Alex wants to be Turkish citizen...

According to recent news by Anatolian News agency, Alex DE Souza was visiting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan with Fenerbahce Team President Aziz Yildirim in Ankara.

During the visit, Alex expressed his wish to be a Turkish citizen to Prime Minister of Turkey.

Prime Minister , Recep Tayyip Erdagan , responded with a smile and asked him "Did you pick a Turkish name"

Although, ALex playing football in Turkey for the last seven years, since he applied for Turkish Citizenship recently, he has to wait five years to claim his Turkish Citizen by than he will be 39 years old!

Six weeks to go in the Turkish Super League, Trabzonspor still in the driver's seat In the Turkish Spor Toto Super League, after a win against Galatasaray in Istanbul.

The late goal by Burak Yilmaz,gave the win also the lead in the Turkish Super League....

Galatasaray losing at home to Trabzonspor is having the worst season ever in the league...

At the end of the 28th weekend ,they are in 14th place with only 34 points!

They are definitely at the brink of relegation zone...

If they don't win their last six matches in the league, they could be in trouble!

Galatasaray has changed three coaches so for this season....

They are in turmoil, as the club get ready to elect their new president in May...

It is very sad to see Turkish Giants Galatasaray in this position...


As I said before, Trabzopnspor still on top of the Turkish Super League,ahead of Fenerbahce who won in the, away match on Saturday in Eskisehir...1-3.


Next three weekend will be very though for Trabzonspor in the league.....

If they beat Bursa,Eskisehir and Gaziantep back to back they will most likely will claim the rope at the end but, it will be very hard to do that in the next three weekends!

If they don't the gap will close between Fenerbahce....

Looking ahead, there is a lot of football to be played in the next six weekends....

The two horse race in the TUrkish Super league will go down to wire ,in my opinion...

Although, Trabzonspor is in the driver's seat now, I think, that will change in the coming weeks.


Looking at the remaining fixture ,Fenerbahce have easy matches compare to Trabzonspor!

As we get close to the end, pressure and anxiety is on for the teams on top and the bottom even for Galatasaray....

Next weekend, Jozy Altidore's team Bursaspor who is in third plcae in the Turkish Super League will travel to Trabzon to face the league leaders on Sunday.



Jozy Altidore scored his first goal in Turkish Super League last Friday against Anatalyaspor but, his team Bursaspor lost at home at the end of the match to Antalyaspor, 1-3.

Look for Altidore to start against Trabzonspor on Sunday....

Fenerbahce will play on Saturday and they will face Gaziantepspor at Kadikoy , Istanbul...

They must win this match to put pressure on Trabzonspor on Sunday...

Could Bursaspor pull a surprise and stop Trabzon on Sunday?

Why not, Altidore might even score again.....

Lastly, the 29th weekend will open with Besiktas vs Gencler ,match on Friday and wil close on Monday with Manisa vs Galatasaray. If Galatasaray lose on monday and Sivaspor wins on Sunday at home they will be at even points!

That will be nightmare for Galatasaray.....

TURKISH CUP "SEMIFINAL" TIME.....

Ziraat Turkish Cup Semifinal matches first leg matches will be play on Wendsday and Thursady.

On Wendsday Besiktas will host Gaziantep and on Thursday Istanbul Buyuksehir will go against Ankara's Genclerbirligi team...


Besiktas, the team who is seventh in the league is hopping to to claim the Turkish Cup,,,

On the other hand, Gaziantep is in better possition in The Turkish Super League, want to capture the cup also.


The first leg of the two match , will take place in Istanbul with no spectators..

Because of the punishment by TFF, disipline commitee, Besiktas is serving one match "closed door" punishment!

I think this is stupid rule...

It hurts, Turkish football , big time......


what is funny, in the first legs of the Turkish Cup semifinal matches, there wont be any spectators on the field!

We know, on Thursday, Istanbul Buyuksehir will not have any fans there,.....

Because, they don't have any big fan base...maybe 100!

That is also despicable, if you ask me...

So, Ziraat Turkish Cup Semifinal , first leg matches will be boring to watch...

If you want to watch the matches they are being broadcast by TRT TV....

Who ever gets a good score in the first matches ,will gain a huge advantage for the second leg matches.


Turkish Cup Final match will be played on May 11th,2011 in Kayseri, Turkey...
