BESIKTAS HOST DYNOMO KYIV IN ISTANBUL,TURKEY

Besiktas set to host Ukraine's Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday in the first leg game in the round of 32 at the UEFA Europa League.

The game at Istanbul's Fiyapi Inonu Stadium will kick-off at 8:00 p.m. Turkish local time.(1:00 PM. ET)

Besiktas finished second in their group at the UEFA Europa League.

BESIKTAS SACK VETERAN SKIPPER IBRAHIM UZULMEZ....

THE REASON...PUNCHING HIS TEAMMATE!

Besiktas have taken the stunning step of sacking captain Ibrahim Uzulmez ahead of their Europa League last-32 tie at home to Dynamo Kiev on Thursday.

The move came following an emergency meeting after club's board of meeting ,looked into the events which unfolded during half-time of Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Ankaragucu.

Ibrahim Uzulmez, punched Ibrahim Toraman after both had become embroiled in an argument, witnessed by coach Bernd Schuster.

This is not the first time happened ,they also exchanged blows at a pre-season training camp in Austria in 2008.

Besiktas Club said "statement read: "Upon learning of the unsportsmanlike conduct he displayed

in the dressing room during the half-time interval of this week's match against Ankaragucu,

our executive board held an emergency meeting and, in line with coaching staff recommendations, unanimously decided to terminate player Ibrahim Uzulmez's contract with immediate effect."

BIG PROBLEM,,,, INJURIES FOR BESIKTAS!

Goalkeeper Cenk Gonen with a broken finger and defender Ersan Gulum with a season-ending knee ligament injury.

As far as Dynamo, this will be their first since the Ukrainian League shut down for its winter break two months ago, and the first for new head coach Yuri Semin.

The winners of this clash in two matches ,will go on to face either Manchester City or Aris Thessaloniki in the last 16.

So, this is very important match for Besiktas tonight at home...

They must win with a clear and big score...

FENERBAHCE CAPTURES SECOND PLACE IN TURKEY.

The best form team in the last six matches , Fenerbahce captured the second place from Last years Champions Bursaspor as they even the points with Bursa and moved within two points of Super League leaders Trabzonspor.

On Monday night in front of home crowed, Fenerbahce beat Kayserisspor 2-0..

Mamadou Niang gave Fenerbahce the perfect start with a third-minute opener and Diego Lugano made sure of the victory on the hour mark.

Former Fenerbahce keeper Volkan Babacan now plays for Kayserispor made a huge mistake on Niang's goal!

So, with this match on Monday night the 21th weekend came to end.....

In the 21th weekend , after Trabzonspor winning in Sivas, stayed on top...Bursaspor. came little short in Eskisehir away match and lost the second place to Fenerbahce...

Perhaps, "the team of the week" this weekend, I think, It was Fenerbahce...

If we remember the point difference between Trabzon and Bursa , in the first half of the season, it was huge!

Fenerbahce is the only team from Istanbul big three, will be in the Championship race ,after this weekend,,,,

Galatasaray and Besiktas both went down, in their away match!

Galatasaray sits in the 10th place with 29 points and Besiktas droped down to sixth place with 29 points!

Also, biggest gainers in the 21th weekend were Bucaspor,Manisaspor and Kasimpasa...

Bucaspor with a huge win at home moved to 15th place and Manisapor beat Antalyaspor in Antalya with a huge score..1-4 and moved to 7th place.

Canadian National team player Josh Simpson scored two goals and missed at least four!

Kasimpasa, League's last place team surprised a lot of people and beat Karabuk at home!

In the 22th weekend, Besiktas vs Fenerbahce match will be the most important match in Turkey.

22th weekend will close with Monday night match when Turkey's top team Trabzon will travel to Manisa..

Second place Fenerbahce will play on Sunday while Bursaspor will host very good team Gazinatepsper on Saturday at home...

So, we might see a temporarily new leader in the league until Monday night!

But. Trabzonspor visit to Manisa won't be that pleasant....

Because, they are the third best team in the last six weeks in Turkey...

Lastly, Bursaspor is also playing against very good team , Gaziantepspor...

Who is second best team, after Fenerbahce, in the last six weeks...

Stay Tune......

TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE SUNDAY PREVIEW..

American Jozy Altidore made his debut in Turkey.......

American forward Jozy Altidore made his debut for Bursaspor in a 1-1 draw at Eskisehirspor in the Turkish Super league on Sunday.

Altidore came out in the second half of the match around 77th minute...

He was the creator of Bursaspor goal from midfield....

Watch the great move by Jozy Altidore and the play- maker and creator of Bursaspor's only goal here...

Bursaspor coach in the second half changed the formation on the field and kept only Kenny Miller on top and Altidore was more like defensive midfielder in the second half!

I think, Ertugrul Saglam, went to this formation very early to protect 1-0 score...

That was a huge mistake by him!

At the end, Bursaspor fell short and lost two important points in Eskisehir...

On Monday Fenerbahce have a chance to catch Bursaspor in the standings and capture the second place for the first time this season, if they beat Kayserispor at home....

On the other hand Kayserispor with a win could even up thier points with Fenerbahce (39 points)

So, Modnay night's match turn out to be the msot importnat match of the weekend!

If Fenerbahce wins, they will capture the second place for the first time, this season...

Again, just like Saturday on Sunday there were 12 goals scored in four matches....

Most shocking scores on Sunday were Besiktas going down in Ankara and Kasimpasa beating Karabuk!

With this loss, Besiktas's chase for the top is demolished !

Here is the Sunday results.....

FT Antalyaspor 1 : 4 Manisaspor
FT Eskisehirspor 1 : 1 Bursaspor
FT Karabukspor 1 : 3 Kasimpasa

TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE SATURDAY REVIEW...

TRABZONSPOR WIN VERY IMPORTANT ONE, IN AWAY MATCH....

After three weekend of bad results, Trabzonspor finally won their first match in the second half of the season in away match!

And it did not come that easy,...

On Saturday in four matches there were 12 goals scored and ten of the goals were score in two matches...

Biggest disappointment of the Saturday ,was Galatasaray ....

They lost to Gaziantepspor in Gaziantep.... wit this win Gaziantep bumped Besiktas from fifth place in the standings,,,,,

While Trabzonspor still retain the first place, Bucaspor with a win at home moved from 17th place to 15th place above Sivaspor and Konyaspor!

This was a huge win for Bucaspor.....

All of the teams that I watched on Saturday, still struggling on defense...

On Sunday, Bursaspor could even the points with Trabzonspor if they beat Eskisehirspor in Eskisehir,,,

American Altidore ready to go in this match for Bursa...

The match will start at 09:00 AM,ET....

Sunday's last match will be between Ankaragucu and Besiktas.....

Struggling Besiktas is getting away from the chase,,,...

On Monday, 21th weekend will come to end with Fenerbahce - Kayserispor match.

If Fenerbahce wins on Monday and Bursaspor loses on Sunday , Fenerbahce could capture the second place from Bursaspor.

Here is the details of Saturday........

Sivasspor twice battled to get back on level terms, Kamil Grosicki and Yannick Kamanan cancelling out strikes by Jaja and Burak Yilmaz.

However, a minute after Kamanan thought he had ensured a point for the hosts, Burak Yilmaz bagged his second goal six minutes from time to seal an away win.

Bucaspor were also 3-2 winners in an ill-tempered match against Konyaspor which saw three men sent off.

Musa Aydin set Bucaspor on their way with the opener after eight minutes but their task was made harder when they had Koray Colgecen sent off in the 22nd minute.

The numbers were evened up just after the hour when Erdinc Yavuz saw red, right before Jerko Leko extended Bucaspor's lead from the penalty spot.

Marcin Robak then stunned Bucaspor and own goal by Gomes made it 2-2 ,in six minutes, but Leko's second goal 13 minutes from time ensured the points for Bucaspor.

Elsewhere, Ismael Sosa's fifth-minute strike was enough to earn Gaziantepspor a 1-0 home win

over Galatasaray and substitute Mustafa Pektemek's goal a minute from time secured

Genclerbirligi victory by the same scoreline at Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK, whose cause was not

helped by the 34th-minute dismissal of Mahmut Tekdemir.

TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE WEEKEND PREWIEW:WEEK 21

IT IS WHOLE NEW BALL GAME........

Turkish "SPOR TOTO" Super League League Leaders Trabzonspor waisted all the credits that they have!

Now, after they even the points with Bursaspor on top, have to show that they are still the leaders.

But,losing 7 points in the last three matches are not showing that they are on right track!

Coach Senol Günes admitted that it was not a good start, last wekend.....

On the other hand, Bursaspor and Fenerbahce is making big strides and winning their matches..

That is why ,I think, the race on top and battle at the bottom, will take a new directions this weekend,,

The 21th weekend matches will start on Saturday and will finish on Monday....

While Trabzonspr travels to Sivas on Saturday, Bursa will travel to short distance ,to neighboring Eskisehir on Sunday and on Monday Fenerbahce will host fourth place Kayserispor at home.

American Player Jozy Altidore most likely will see action this weekend in Eskisehir,,,,

He will be huge addition to Bursa with Kenny Miller on top............

So, at the end of the 21th weeekend, we just might see a new team on top if Trabzonspor continue to struggle...

The team that they are visting Sivasspor is despreate for points......

They are in danger zone and have only 16 points,,,

The other teams, Konya and Buca who is with 15 points will face each other in Buca, Izmir on Saturday in the early match.

If Bucaspor or Konya ends up with three points from thsi match, it will put more presure on Sivasspor vs Trabzonspor match, that will play later on Saturday.

Like I said, the race in the Turkish Super league, is just started again.....
