Champions of Turkey Bursaspor shook hands with Argentinean forward player Daniel Steinert.

According too Sabah daily, The 24-year-old forward Daniel Steinart played for Argentina’s Racngclub.

Steinart arrives in Bursa tomorrow and will first undergo a medical check-up and later will sign a contract with the team.

Caner Erkin,who played with Galatasaray last season on a loan from CSK team was loaned to Fenerbahce.

Anticipated Aykut Kocaman named as Fenerbahce coach




Fenerbahce have ended German Christoph Daum's second spell as coach and replaced him with former Fenerbahce player Aykut Kocaman.

Kocaman, 45, played for the team between 1988-96 and was recently sporting director.

He will sign a contract on Tuesday. Fenerbahce will pay Daum €2.3 million in compensation after cancelling his contract.


"Fenerbahce have always been a part of my life and they will remain so," the 56-year-old Daum was quoted as saying. "I wish them all the best for their Uefa Champions League campaign."

That will begin in the third qualifying round at the end of July.

Fenerbahce dissolved Christian Daum's contract finally after huge pressure by Turkish media and Fenerbahce fans.

The Turkish media was after a mission and they accomlish that...

They wanted Aykut Kocaman to be the coach of Fenerbahce....

And finally they did it with Turkish style...

I wonder, what would they say if Fenerbahce and Aykut Kocaman, starts to lose matches next season?

Aykut Kocaman's carear could be short spell with Fenerbahce, just like Oguz Cetin's and Ridva Dilmen's....

Daum former coach of the first FC Cologne moved to the consequences from a days-long media chase.
After the missed championship which went to the outsider Bursaspor, Daum was sharply criticized the Turkish press and vilified.

Daum collected a severance payment of 2.3 million €. His coaching staff to assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer Ayhan Tumani Gehrke Holger was terminated without notice.

9 players and 1 coach has been charged with match-fixing probe in Turkey.

According to reports from Turkey, Turkish prosecutor charged 9 players, 1 coach in soccer match-fixing probe.


Accortding to Anatolian News agency, 87 other people were also charged Wednesday with either membership of a criminal gang, violating betting rules or making threats. The accused were not identified.

The prosecutors says the group made US$30 million per year through the manipulation of matches, mostly in the second- and third-tier leagues, and illegal betting.
Anatolia says the prosecutors' indictment cites a phone-tapped conversation in which a goalkeeper for second-tier Gaziantepspor agrees to concede two goals in a game against Kayserispor.
No trial date has been set.

FENERBAHCE AFTER HUNTELAAR OF AC MILAN

According Italina La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fenerbahce ready offer €18 million for the Dutch striker Huntelaar.

Tottenham and Benfica have also both been linked with the 26-year-old, who struggled for playing timea at AC Milan , scoring seven goals in 21 appearances.

Huntelaar has already rejected a move to the Portuguese club, and is more likely to want a transfer to Tottenham than Turkey.

The striker, currently on World Cup duty in South Africa with Holland, has a contract with AC Milan until 2014.

Besiktas Signed German Roberto Hilbert




Besiktas of Turkey signed German Midfielder Roberto Hilbert has joined from VfB Stuttgart on a three-year contract.

Besiktas said on its website that Hilbert underwent the mandatory medical and then put pen to paper.

Hilber, 25, joined Besiktas, who last week appointed German Bernd Schuster as coach, on a free transfer. He has won eight caps but is not in Germany's World Cup squad.

Hilbert joined Bundesliga side Stuttgart in 2006. He made 120 appearances with German squad and scored 16 goals.


At the signing ceremonies Hilbert said,"I am very happy to be here and I want to do my best with Besiktas,"
