Holosko's Goal against Fenerbahce "Goal of the Week" In Europe

Sivasspor Stall But Besiktas Can't Cash In!

This was a golden second opportunity for Besiktas when league leader Sivasspor lost the away match, against Gaziantepspor, hours before The second place Besiktas took the pitch in Istanbul.

This could it been a huge morale booster for Mustafa Denizli's Besiktas side but,

Instead, there was better Fenerbahce team on the pitch, against Besiktas.

THE TOP STAY SAME!...

Although Sivasspor loss to Gaziantepspor and Besiktas going down to Fenerbahce with same score 2-1, the top in the Turkcell Super League has not change at the end of the 30th week.
Sivasspor has 60 and Besiktas 59 points...

The Third place team Trabzonspor is refreshing their thoughts about the league's top spot again...

After losing to Sivasspor last weekend their coach Ersun Yanal resigned and as a interim coach from the farm team of the club Ahmet Ozen will fill this coaching duties until end of the season..

I still don get it why Ersun Yanal left this team?...

SUPER SUNDAY IN THE TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE!

There are seven matches on Sunday, and five of them will be the battle, for teams who does not want to be the second or third team to bite the dust in the league!..

All these teams are floating between 35 and 30 points...

Accept, Koacaelispor who has 26 points will travel to face Konyasspor who has 32 points. This match will decide Kocaelispor future in the league!...

This is defiantly a six points match for both teams.
With the help of 12th man, Giray Bulak's Konyaspor has to win this match....

The other two matches are concerning the top spot.....

Scolari and Ronaldinho to Fenerbahce?

This is the latest rumors according to website called footballpress.net....

According to report Felipe Scolari is the main candidate to replace Luis Aragones as Fenerbahce coach next season. Meantime, the former Chelsea coach has asked the Turkish club to sign AC Milan ace Ronaldinho. It seems that a three year deal at 5 million euros per season is ready for the Brazilian forward.

TRABZONSPOR BEAT KAYSERISPOR

Trabzonspor kept up the pressure with a convincing 4-1 victory over Kayserispor.
Trabzonspor were two goals up inside the first seven minutes thanks to strikes from Umut Bulut and Gokhan Unal.

Franco Cangele pulled a goal back from the penalty spot for Kayserispor on the stroke of half-time but Gustavo Colman (77) and Unal (90) put the result to bed in the second half.

Trabzonspor close to within four points of leaders Sivasspor and three points of Besiktas, although both teams have a game in hand. They play on Sunday. Sivasspor will be in Gazinatep in a early game and in Istanbul Derby match, Besiktas will face Fenerbahce in the last macth of the weekend. The pressure will be on both of these team on Sunday.

Galatasaray says Good Bye To the Turkish Title!

Another Istanbul Giant bites the dust in the Turkish Super League race for the title!

After Fenerbahce, Another Istanbul giant Galatasaray said farewell to the league's top spot after losing against last place team Hacettepe in Ankara with two goals.

Hacettepe goals were scored by Patiyo Tambwe in the 58th minute and

90 minute by Ibrahim Sahin .

This is just disaster for Galatasaray team and rookie coach Bulent Korkmaz.


Now, they are talking about his resigning !...

Blackburn Rovers Honor Tugay Kerimoglu !

Veteran Blackburn playmaker and former Galatasaray and Turkish National team player Tugay Kerimoglu will leave Ewood Park at the end of the season, according to manager Sam Allardyce.


It will bring the curtain down on the 38-year-old's career at the club, spanning eight seasons, after he arrived from Rangers for £1.3million.

Allardyce said: "We will say farewell at the end of the season and thank you very much for what you have done for Blackburn."

He added: "Certainly if we remain in the Premier League, Tugay can bow out gracefully after playing at the top level most of the time.

"He has had a fantastic career. But at 38 and the ever-increasing demands of the Premier League, certainly in a physical sense, it means you cannot go on forever."

NO COACHING JOB FOR HIM!...

According to reports Blackburn Rovers legend Tugay Kerimoglu won't be offered a coaching role when he retires this summer.

With many touting the Tugay for a role behind the scenes Big Sam says that won't happen yet, "he's not qualified to coach, if he goes away and does his coaching badges then I'm sure he'll always have an eye on coming back to Blackburn at some stage."

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce paid tribute to midfielder Tugay Kerimoglu on Friday,on clubs web site saying "

"It has drawn to a very good end, certainly if we stay in the Premier League, and he has made a big contribution to helping us."

Tugay Kerimoglu made 200 appearances for the Blackburn Rovers.
