TURKEY TURKCELL SUPER LEAGUE WEEKEND REVIEW............
It seems like Galatasaray team some how gets by in the last minutes, lately...
Although they did not win the match but a come back from behind draw against Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor was good enough for Cimbom to hold the top spot this week too after Sivasspor lost to a relegation team Ankaraspor in Ankara.
After Hasa Sas rejected from the match with two yellow card,
Ten-man Galatasaray have fought back from a two-goal half-time deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK and narrowly avoid their first defeat of the season in Turkey. After the match Hasan Sas told Turkish media that he does not want to play soccer in Turkey and Galatasaray any more"
Marcus Vinicius Cesario recorded a first-half brace with goals in the 10Th and 40Th minutes before Hakan Kadir Balta pulled one back for the league leaders after 72 minutes.
It seemed as though Istanbul were on the verge of recording their first away win of the season when Hasan Sas was sent off in the 80Th minute.
But Umit Karan - who had only been on the pitch for 12 minutes - pounced right at the death to steal a point for the Turkish giants.
WHAT HAPPENED TO SIVASSPOR?
Second-placed Sivasspor lost ground on the leaders after a shock 2-0 defeat at Ankaraspor.
Necati Ates opened the scoring for the hosts on 26 minutes before Sidney Tita sealed a vital victory 10 minutes from time to see Ankaraspor put four points between themselves and rock-bottom Kasimpasa.
Caykur Rizespor pulled themselves out of the relegation zone with a credible 1-1 draw at high-flying Besiktas.
Leandro Rodriguez gave the visitors a surprise lead five minutes into the second half before Matias Delgado equalised for the fourth-placed side in the 72nd minute.
But the visitors clung on to take only their second away point of the season.
Manisaspor inched their way closer to safety thanks to a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Gaziantepspor.
Filip Holosko scored the only goal of the game from the spot six minutes from time to see the hosts leapfrog their opponents into 13Th spot.
Elsewhere Kayserispor maintained their unbeaten home record as they held Genclerbirligi OFTAS to a 1-1 draw.
Mehmet Topuz gave Kayserispor the lead in the 17th minute but Ibrahim Sahin drew the visitors level on 29 minutes.

LOOK FATIH TERIM !... IT IS SWITZERLAND AGAIN.
Draw for the Euro 2008 finals conducted on Sunday in Lucerne city of Switzerland.
Turkey and Fatih Terim will be once again face Switzerland in the "A" group/
Besides Switzerland, Portugal and Czech Republic are the rivals of Turkey in Group A.
The reason why I bring up the trouble match is, there is a lot of lessons to be learned from that match for both sides!..I hope Fatih Terim will learn from his mistakes from ugly 2005 game in Istanbul. Another thing that bothers me from this ugly match if you all remember, Emre, after this ugly game, said, "He did not do any thing wrong" in that match...every one knows the result!....he was punished for 6 mathes later reduced to 4 mathces, for being Absurd.
Now,I am wondering , If Terim will play his "Captain" Emre in this match?...
After the draw look what Mr. Terim saif to world media " "Switzerland has long been our friend. What happened on the pitch remains on the pitch. The last person I embraced before coming here was Swiss team captain Alex Frei"
But, wait, listen to the Swiss captain Alex Frei at the draw, after he had a chat with Terim "Obviously it will be hard for the players who were directly involved like Stephane Grichting and Benjamin Huggel to forgive and forget what happened in Istanbul,"
Anyway, This will bring back the ugly memories whether you like it or not!...
It will be realy dificult to play this match on their turf this time!...I just hope
There won't be revange on the field!
That's why Fatih Terim has to watch how he talks to media, his face gimmicks and his attitude at the press conferenses has to be better......
Turkish National Soccer team will take on Portugal on June 7th in its first match in Geneva.
The second match will be played with Switzerland in Basel on June 11th and the last match with Czech Republic in Geneva on June 15th.

New Turkey EURO 2008 Nike away shirt
TUNCAY SANLI SCORES HIS FIRST GOAL IN ENGLAND!..
LOOK HE HAS NOT FORGET THE Shhh
He went in to the match, seven minutes remaining, and the other team (Reading),was leading 1-0 through Kitson's second-half goal, Middlesbrough substitute Tuncay Sanli and "Fatih Terim's princess", scored for the first time this season to earn his team a deserved point. But wait.....his goal and one point din't help Bora's to stay out of the danger zone of the league.Boro, slip into the bottom three!...
So, Tuncay might be happy that he scored his first goal but, playing on a losing team and not starting, must eat him!...That is the realty though!....
I have warned him before....but, his money hungary (so called)Manager, trapped him!... The only reason Boro liked the deal because it was free transfer deal!...
Where do you find a deal like that in England..that is why they jumped on the deal...
But, Here is the big mistake that Bora team made...They thought they were getting a Striker!....Tuncay is not a striker....Tuncay is an attacking Midfielder....now I hear, the Bora fans saying that they have a Striker problem....The problem was there again, Tuncay is not your on top man!...hear me Bora fans!....I am talking to you guys......
On the other hand ,he is 38 years old but still strong!...I am talking about Tugay Kerimoglu.... he scored the seal goal for the Blackburns as they defeat Emre's team Newcastle 3-1....by the way "Fatih Terim's captain" Emre, did not play!....I wonder if he would call back Turgay back to the national team?!.... After all he has called up players has not played or start in their own teams....why not call back Tugay Kerimoglu?.... for one or two matches..

GALATASARAY SHINES WITH HAKAN SUKUR....
Panionios 0 Galatasaray 3 Hakan Sukur breathed new life into Galatasaray's UEFA Cup campaign with a virtuoso display as the Turkish giants claimed victory over 10-man Panionios in Athens.
The veteran Turkey striker came off the bench at half-time to inspire his team and rounded off the scoring with a superb header to earn Karl-Heinz Feldkamp's side their first points of their Group H bid following two straight defeats.
Serkan Calik's strike after a Sukur flick put Gala ahead five minutes after half time and Rigobert Song's penalty in the 63rd minute put the visitors in firm control.
Grigoris Makos was shown a yellow card for the challenge that led to the penalty and was sent off seconds later after his complaints earned him a second booking.
Panionios were up against it from them on in and Sukur capped Gala's first away victory in UEFA competition for 12 matches with eight minutes left.
Neither side was willing to take risks in a cagey opening 45 minutes.
Panionios, for whom winger Dario Fernandez was a constant threat with his trickery and direct running, looked dangerous whenever they broke forward but their final ball let them down and their only opportunities came from distance with defender Yiannis Maniatis and Fernandez both trying their luck without success.
Sukur came on after half-time and his introduction proved the catalyst for Gala as two goals in 13 minutes saw them move into a 2-0 lead.
The first came five minutes after the break when Calik sprang the hosts' offside trap to latch on to Sukur's flick, keeping his composure brilliantly to round home keeper Charalampos Tambasis before slotting home from an acute angle.
Then Sukur's superb slide rule path sent Calik scampering clear and, when was felled by Makos, Spanish referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco pointed to the spot.
Song kept a cool head to side-foot home into the top right hand corner from 12 yards with Makos duly sent off.
Sukur then put the icing on the victory, starting a move by spreading the ball out wide on the left to substitute Mehmet Guven. His cross was inch perfect for Sukur, who arrived perfectly to head home.
Teams:
Panionios Tambasis, Maniatis, Pletsch, Spyropoulos, Fernandez,Makos, Kumordzi (Skoufalis 65), Majstorovic,Goundoulakis (Kondis 80), Djebbour, Aravidis (Koutsopoulos 66).

BESIKTAS STILL ALIVE!....
Brazilian Bobo's late goal earned Besiktas a 2-1 win over Olympique Marseille in their Champions League Group A match on Wednesday to keep alive the Turkish team's hopes of reaching the last 16.
Besiktas remain bottom but now have six points and trail Marseille and Liverpool by just a point after the English side thrashed group leaders Porto 4-1 at Anfield.
The Turks visit the Portuguese, who have eight points, in their final group match while Liverpool travel to Marseille.
With the Turkish side on the verge of elimination, striker Bobo sprinted on to a pass in the 88th minute and slotted the ball under Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
Still smarting from an 8-0 thrashing at Liverpool in their previous fixture, Besiktas were fired up for the match.
"Unfortunately, we saddened everyone in the last game and we had to win to ease that sadness," said coach Ertugrul Saglam. "Now it is down to the last match and every team can advance."
"We can beat Porto. We will do what we can to win the game and advance to the next round," he said.
The home side attacked straight from the kickoff with midfielder Rodrigo Tello firing a long-range shot just over the bar in the second minute.
With Marseille failing to impose themselves in the early stages, Besiktas continued to exert pressure culminating with Tello opening the scoring in the 27th minute.
The Chilean curled a freekick over the wall and into the right-hand corner, leaving Mandanda helpless.
Marseille emerged in the second half with more purpose and got their reward in the 65th minute when Nigerian substitute Taye Taiwo drove in a powerful long-range shot to beat Turkey goalkeeper Rustu Recber.
Marseille's equaliser shook Besiktas back into life and with two minutes of normal time remaining, Bobo revived the Turkish side's hopes of advancing to the knockout phase.
