While European champions Spain remained
unchallenged at the top, Turkey stayed at 14th place of FIFA's world rankings published on
Wednesday which showed no movement at all in the top 39 places
after a quiet month with little international activity.
Spain have now been top for 11 months with Germany remaining
in second place and the Netherlands third with world champions
Italy fifth, one place behind Brazil in fourth spot.
Since last month's rankings only 22 internationals were
played, 20 in the qualifying round for the 2010 Asian Challenge
Cup and two friendlies in Africa.
The rankings are based on team's performances over the last
four years.
