After losing against Sivaspor in the league match ,Galatasaray almost loss again against Sivasspor in the Fortis Cup first leg match in Istanbul. The injury-time equaliser from Ayhan Akman prevented Galatasaray from suffering a second defeat in four days by a Sivasspor side who had took the lead in Istanbul on 74 minutes through Pini Balili. In the night's other tie, Denizlispor and Ankaraspor drew 1-1.
