I must admit that I had a constant anger and resentment for Fatih Terim throughout the qualifiers for the European Championships climaxing after our 2-2 tie against Malta to a seething hate. However, during the European Championships coupled with the knowledge that Saban Hakan Suker was not included in the squad gave me hope that our nation of 73 million can field a world class football squad. I ate all those bad words and hatefull thoughts about Terim with sujuk, ekmek, and a nice bottle of Tekirdag Raki. I have the confidence that when our players put their heads into the match and play the full 90 minutes, will can overcome anyone..... I wait for the day we play England.
