The 50th season of the Turkey's Super League takes a start Today........
Last Years Champions Fenerbahce will open the 2007-2008 season on Friday in Istanbul against Istanbul's Municipality soccer team!... They will play the match in Ataturk Olympic Stadium. Since this is a home game for Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesipsor( I will call them IBB Spor), They will make a lot of money on Fener's back...I think,
the Stadium will be pack tonight.
Roberto Carlos will play his first official Turkcell Super League match tonight...
There will be a lot of foreign media there to cover this event.

A Bad start for Roberto Carlos and Fenerbahce....
Roberto Carlos had a disappointing debut for Fenerbahce which lost 2-0 Friday to Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor in the opening round of the Turkish Turkcell Super League.
Former Fenerbahce player Kerim Zengin scored for newly promoted Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor(Istanbul municipality soccer team) in the 19th minute and Murat Ocak headed a second goal in the 27th minute.

The thing is that you do a great overall look at Turkish football, as opposed to some of us who just write about one or two clubs and your writings are much better suited to a website (like you had) rather than a blog.
One of the best things about your site was the opinion page because it allowed discussion about anything, regardless of what your last addition to the site was.
Ahmet. I beg you. Forget about the blog format, get back to your old site. It was great fun and I miss it.
PS: If I had put this comment on your old site quite a lot of people would see it. On this blog no one will see it once you post something new.
Oh, and also kill the "comment moderation" thing. It is just annoying.

Oz Kanka, thanks for you kind words. I was actualy working with a young web designer to set me up with a new site look!..But, he had a big family isue came up that's why site is not up!... I did change the comments thing on blog page..thanks for warning me!....

Nothing wrong with the blog as such but because you post so often it means that flows of conversation, or arguements, cannot really... eh.. flow.
ReplyDeleteWhat I mean is that on the old site the guest book think often meant we would have a conversation lasting weeks concerning say "why Hakan Sukur should be president instead of Gul".
For me, I used to have a quick look at the main page, to see what mad thoughts you have on whatever issue, and then head straight to the guest page where I could give Gulay a good going over.

Here in states, Baseball player Barry Bonds broke the Henrey Aron's Home Run record.....The press made it big isue before when he was trying to catch the record!....Our Turkish press just woke up and reliezed that he cought Tanju's record!..Don't you think this should it been big news not after?...
