WEEK 30: REVIEW
IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER!
We could say this ,for both games played on Sunday. Besiktas won in away match in the last seconds of the match. Fenerbahce after going ahead with two goals Denizlispor makes big come back and scores two goals.
Ibrahim Akin's last-minute winner has thrown Turkey's title race wide open as Besiktas stole victory at Sivasspor and league leaders Fenerbahce dropped points at home.
Akin struck in the dying seconds to hand the Istanbul side all three points, as the game looked to be heading for a stalemate, and move them to within two points of the top.
Fenerbache let a two-goal lead slip at home to Denizlispor after De Souza Alex netted in the 19th minute and then fired home from the spot in the 71st.
But Padilha Adriano instantly pulled one back for the visitors and when substitute Fatih Yigen grabbed a second with nine minutes to go, alarm bells began to sound for the 2005 champions.
Fenerbahce still lead the way on 60 points, but the race looks to be going the full distance as Besiktas are chasing on 58 with just four games remaining.
GALATASARAY BACK IN THE RACE!
Galatasaray have stayed on the fringes of the race for the Turkish Super League title with a 3-0 win at Sakaryaspor.
Mehmet Guven opened the scoring before two goals from Umit Karan saw the Istanbul club move within SIX points of leaders Fenerbahce and FOUR of second-placed Besiktas.
Stephane Borbiconi gave Manisaspor a 1-0 lead only for hosts Ankaraspor to equalise with 12 minutes remaining.
Strikes from Umut Bulut and Gokdeniz Karadeniz earned Trabzonspor a 2-1 win at Antalyaspor whose goal was netted by Ahmet Dursun.
Bursaspor's Burak Akdis earned his side a 1-1 draw with Gaziantepsor who had led through Kaba Diawara and survived the sending off of goalkeeper Oguz Daglaroglu.
Zafer Biryol scored twice and Altan Aksoy once as Caykur Rizespor outlasted Ankaragucu 3-1 with Sidney Tita on the mark for the losers.
Goals from Cenk Isler and Radomir Dalovic earned Erciyesspor a 2-1 win at Genclerbirligi for whom Haminu Dramani was the scorer.
Fourth-placed Kayserispor dispatched Konyaspor 2-1 with early goals from Dimitar Ivankov (penalty) and Gokhan Unal while Cedric Sabin netted for the visitors.
