TELLO SIGN WITH BESIKTAS

TELLO SIGN WITH BESIKTAS
As expected Rodrigo Tello has signed up with Turkish team Besiktas for the next four seasons…

The Chilean midfielder was presented on the afternoon following his medical tests and confirmed as a new Besiktas player.

Tello had gone AWOL from Sporting Clube, unhappy with the fact that was not given more priority under Paulo Bento.

The Lisbon club itself had been putting together a renewal package, but with his playing chances looking slim under the taciturn tactician, Tello took flight.

After seven years of service to the Lisbon Leões (Lions) the South American is embarking on a new chapter in his international career and hopes to be a key piece in the next Besiktas campaign.

Tello, shown posing in the new jersey in his Istanbul presentation, will earns close to 900,000 Euros per season in the four-year deal

FENERBAHCE DEFEAT GALA IN UGLY MATCH AND BESKTAS SECURES THE SECOND!
Kayseri Erciyesspor will have a spot in the UEFA Cup!

Galatasaray fans threw coins, bottles, torches, seats and even stones into the field.
Turkish champions Fenerbahce have continued on the winning trail with a 2-1 victory at arch-rivals Galatasaray in the Super League.Having wrapped up the title last weekend with two games to spare, Zico's team were again impressive as goals from Diego Lugano (24) and Luis Edu Dracena (39) sent them into a half-time lead.

The only goal for the hosts came a minute from time courtesy of substitute Arda Turan, but it proved a mere consolation as the hosts remain in third, five points behind Besiktas, who needed an 84th-minute winner from Deivison Bobo to overcome 10-man Ankaraspor 2-1 at home.Mert Nobre (15) had given Besiktas an early lead, before the visitors drew level through Murat Tosun (47).However, a 76th-minute red card for Adem Kocak meant Ankaraspor had to play the final stages with a man less and they were made to pay by Bobo's late intervention.

After Besiktas earning place in The Champions League with Fenerbahce next season , The team might not be in the Turkish Super League next season will play in the UEFA CUp tournament next season. Beacuse they were the runner ups for the Turkish Fortis Cup This year.

Finally, Isaac Promise (54) scored the only goal to help Genclerbirligi edge Sakaryaspor 1-0 and move up to sixth in the table.

BIG QUESTION AND LAST QUESTION OF THE YEAR!

ERCIYES LOOKING FOR MIRACLES.... WHO WILL BE THE THIRD TEAM?
Will it be, Rizespor, Antalyaspor, Gaziantepspor, Denizlispor or Vestel Manisaspor?

Sunday Wrap:
Caykur Rizespor have won, thanks to a 1-0 defeat of Konyaspor.

Altan Aksoy grabbed the only goal of the game after eight minutes and the visitors' hopes of salvaging something from the contest were ended by the dismissals of Cedric Sabin and Erman Ozgur. Antalyaspor drop into the bottom three after being held to a goalless draw at fellow strugglers Erciyesspor.Denizlispor are another side whose hopes of avoiding the drop were boosted significantly after they beat Kayserispor 2-1 - Serhat Gulpinar grabbing the winner with 11 minutes to go.Gaziantepspor are still not out of trouble following their 0-0 stalemate at home to Manisaspor.Sivasspor won 4-1 at Ankaragucu in a mid-table encounter while fourth-placed Trabzonspor saw off Bursaspor 3-1.

Fenerbahce clinch title as Besiktas slip up
ARTUR ZICO, become the third Brazilian coach to win the Turkish league with Fenerbahce.
May 13 (Reuters) - Fenerbahce clinched the Turkish league title for the 17th time on Sunday, drawing 2-2 at home to Trabzonspor while their Istanbul rivals Besiktas lost 3-0 at Bursaspor.

The victory left Fenerbahce on 64 points, six clear of Besiktas with two games remaining.

Fenerbahce have the better head-to-head record between the two teams this season so even if Besiktas were to win their last two games and Fenerbache lose theirs, Fenerbahce would still be champions under the Turkish league rules.Third-placed Galatasaray also drew, ending their chances of catching Fenerbahce.

The result was a major relief for the new champions, celebrating their centenary year, after Galatasaray snatched the title away from them in the final game of last season, frustrating Fenerbahce's hopes of a third successive title. Fenerbahce fans streamed out onto the streets of Istanbul near their stadium on the Asian side of the city, sounding klaxons, setting off flares and waving club flags at passing cars.

The club's Brazilian coach Zico, in his first season in charge, paid tribute after the match to his two compatriots, Didi and Carlos Alberto Parreira who coached Fenerbahce to the title in the 1970s and 90s respectively.Didi and Parreira opened Fenerbahce's doors to Brazilians and they both had a role in my success here," Zico said."We earned the title through working hard. The players believed in themselves and we had some difficult moments, but we overcame them," he said.

Fenerbahce suffered an early setback in Sunday's game when Huseyin Cimsir put Trabzonspor ahead in the second minute. Two minutes later striker Tuncay Sanli equalised only for Trabzon to regain the lead shortly before halftime.Fenerbahce's Brazilian playmaker Alex, who has played a key role in the club's success in the last few seasons, missed a penalty in the 75th minute. But with five minutes remaining his compatriot Deivid de Souza equalised with a header.

WEEK 31TH REVIEW
Fenerbahce close in on title with Besiktas win
Fenerbahce won Turkey's table-topping clash on Saturday as a goal by Mateja Kezman was enough for a 1-0 win at Besiktas that opened a five point lead over their opponents with three games remaining. Serbian striker Kezman struck in the 12th minute of the heated derby at Besiktas's Inonu stadium, played amid heavy security. Besiktas ended with 10 men as Ibrahim Toraman was shown a red card in the 82nd minute for a tackle which left Serkan Balci with a bloody nose. The win left Fenerbahce on 63 points, five points clear of Besiktas and well placed to secure their 17th title. Last year's champions Galatasaray are third with 55 points.Saturday's victory was also some revenge for Fenerbahce after Besiktas knocked knocked them out of the Turkish Cup in the semi-finals.
Kayserispor remain fourth in the standings after losing 1-0 at Manisaspor.
Hakan Kadir Balta (84) scored the only goal late on to send his team into ninth place, ahead of Ankaragucu, who were 1-0 winners at home to Sakaryaspor.Gustan Bebbe (73) was the hero for Ankar, while an 18th defeat for the visitors leaves them rock bottom and all but relegated. At the Antep Kamil Ocak stadium, Gaziantepspor slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Ankaraspor and remain in the danger zone.Goals in each half from Ozer Hurmaci (39) and Murat Tosun (58) sent their team up to sixth, while the hosts remain on 36 points, level with Caykur Rizespor, who hold the final relegation spot despite earning a point at Erciyesspor. With both teams in trouble, both coaches would have preferred all three points, which at one stage looked to be heading towards the home team after Zdravko Lazarov (28) fired them into a first-half lead. That advantage lasted until the final minute when substitute Hassan Eyyup Ugur (90) equalised to ensure his team left with a point.
Elsewhere, Denizlispor improved their survival hopes with a goalless draw at home to Bursaspor, while Konyaspor staged a dramatic comeback to secure all the points at home to Genclerbirligi.Isaac Promise (66) had the fired the visitors ahead shortly after the hour mark, but the hosts hit back through Cedric Sabin (74) and Erkan Sekman (90) scored a late winner to claim all the spoils and move Konyaspor up to seventh.
Galatasaray held at home
Galatasaray have failed to close the gap on the top two in Turkcell Super League after they could only draw 1-1 at home with Antalyaspor.Galatasaray were behind after only 12 minutes when Ahmet Dursun scored for Antalyaspor. However, Cameroon defender Rigobert Song equalised for the home side in the 69th minute. The result means that Galatasaray stay in third, three points behind second-placed Besiktas and eight points behind leaders Fenerbahce
Trabzonspor win
Trabzonspor have consolidated fifth spot in the Turkcell Super League with a 2-0 victory over Sivasspor.Umut Bulut opened the scoring for the hosts after 38 minutes, and substitute Mustafa Keceli made sure of the points four minutes from time. The win sees Trabzonspor move seven points clear of sixth-placed Sivasspor with three games remaining.

IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER!

WEEK 30: REVIEW
IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER!
We could say this ,for both games played on Sunday. Besiktas won in away match in the last seconds of the match. Fenerbahce after going ahead with two goals Denizlispor makes big come back and scores two goals.
Ibrahim Akin's last-minute winner has thrown Turkey's title race wide open as Besiktas stole victory at Sivasspor and league leaders Fenerbahce dropped points at home.
Akin struck in the dying seconds to hand the Istanbul side all three points, as the game looked to be heading for a stalemate, and move them to within two points of the top.
Fenerbache let a two-goal lead slip at home to Denizlispor after De Souza Alex netted in the 19th minute and then fired home from the spot in the 71st.
But Padilha Adriano instantly pulled one back for the visitors and when substitute Fatih Yigen grabbed a second with nine minutes to go, alarm bells began to sound for the 2005 champions.
Fenerbahce still lead the way on 60 points, but the race looks to be going the full distance as Besiktas are chasing on 58 with just four games remaining.
GALATASARAY BACK IN THE RACE!
Galatasaray have stayed on the fringes of the race for the Turkish Super League title with a 3-0 win at Sakaryaspor.
Mehmet Guven opened the scoring before two goals from Umit Karan saw the Istanbul club move within SIX points of leaders Fenerbahce and FOUR of second-placed Besiktas.
Stephane Borbiconi gave Manisaspor a 1-0 lead only for hosts Ankaraspor to equalise with 12 minutes remaining.
Strikes from Umut Bulut and Gokdeniz Karadeniz earned Trabzonspor a 2-1 win at Antalyaspor whose goal was netted by Ahmet Dursun.
Bursaspor's Burak Akdis earned his side a 1-1 draw with Gaziantepsor who had led through Kaba Diawara and survived the sending off of goalkeeper Oguz Daglaroglu.
Zafer Biryol scored twice and Altan Aksoy once as Caykur Rizespor outlasted Ankaragucu 3-1 with Sidney Tita on the mark for the losers.
Goals from Cenk Isler and Radomir Dalovic earned Erciyesspor a 2-1 win at Genclerbirligi for whom Haminu Dramani was the scorer.
Fourth-placed Kayserispor dispatched Konyaspor 2-1 with early goals from Dimitar Ivankov (penalty) and Gokhan Unal while Cedric Sabin netted for the visitors.
